With a unique background rich in travel, diversity in language and excellence in several massage modalities, Maryann has continued the O.liv experience into another dimension.

A native of Tennessee, with roots in Crete, Greece, Maryann was inspired by her Greek father, an international business entrepreneur, to travel early. Spending summers in Greece as a young child, taking time off in college to live in South America, Maryann spent time studying other languages, earning a degree in Spanish when she returned to Knoxville TN.

While in Costa Rica Maryann received an exquisite massage, sparking her interest in wellness and the massage industry. Receiving a degree in massage therapy from American Institute School of Wellness an Beauty, Maryann blended her interest in travel with a job as a massage therapist in private yachting. After living and traveling outside of the country for many years, Maryann longed to return to the Tennessee she grew up in and came home to her Southern roots. Drawing from her Mediterranean background, Maryann integrated a spa concept that introduces the healthy benefits of olive oil in the wellness industry.

Seventeen years ago after Carla became interested in the wellness industry and earned a massage degree at The Desert Institute in Tucson, Arizona, Soon after Carla opened the doors to StoneSpa in New York City, her native home, and introduced a cutting edge treatment called hot stone therapy. StoneSpa in lower Manhattan drew stressed out spa seekers from New York to Tokyo and she developed a cult following of celebs and creatives who couldn't get enough of her day spa's special brand of spa treatments.
